Are Blogs Cool?

The internet has been pretty rough on me lately.  Posting photos turned into following trends turned into chasing algorithms turned into doomscrolling turned into brain rot turned into AI slop being shoveled into my face, it was expertly paced just enough for me to fall for all of it.  So, I guess, as a way to recall when the internet wasn't so gross, I thought about blogs.  Blogspot, Tumblr, Even MySpace, but like, the little blog portion that only existed for part of it, right in the height of HTML editing.  And that line of thinking brought me to my all-too- surface level existential question of the ages; Are blogs cool?

Well my name is Jori, it's actually Michael, but the first two letters of both of my middle names are JO and RI, so I grew us "Jori".  Maybe the traumatic hellscape we fondly call “Social Media” has led me to yearn for the times when I was just “Jori”, similar to how it's made me think about whether or not Blogs are cool, either way, you can call me what you like, but when I refer to myself, I'll say Jori.

Anyways, I'm going to write on this website about photoshoots, my experiences during those shoots, and some bits of the things I find fun in my slightly more personal life, and along that journey, I hope to find out whether or not blogs are cool.  If they are, (and you like what you're reading so far), good news!  I'm going to keep doing it.  If it turns out blogs are kinda uncool, well, then I guess I'm probably about to quit and this might be an extremely rare piece of art... an uncool blog by Jori.
